When torrential rains hit the northeastern state of Assam in late July 2025, the impact was immediate and devastating. Entire villages were submerged, roads were washed away, and thousands were left stranded with no access to food, clean water, or shelter. In times like these, every second counts — and we knew we had to act fast.

Rapid Response: On the Ground Within 24 Hours

Our emergency response team mobilized immediately. Within 24 hours of the flood warnings, our volunteers reached the worst-affected districts: Barpeta, Nalbari, and Dhubri. Partnering with local authorities and community leaders, we set up temporary relief camps and began distributing essential supplies.

Each relief kit included:

Dry food (rice, lentils, biscuits)

Drinking water bottles

Sanitary kits for women and children

Basic medicines

Tarpaulin sheets and blankets for temporary shelter

Impact in Numbers

✅ 1,200+ families provided with relief kits

9 temporary shelters established

✅ 3,000+ meals served in the first week

✅ 100+ volunteers involved in fieldwork and logistics

Human Stories Behind the Numbers

Among the many faces we met was Anita Devi, a mother of four, who lost her home to the floodwaters. “We had nowhere to go. My children were hungry and cold,” she shared tearfully. With the shelter and aid we provided, Anita and her family are now safe and receiving daily essentials.

Another inspiring moment came from a group of teenage volunteers in Nalbari who helped us distribute food in waist-deep water. “We may not have much, but we can still help others,”
